Requirements

High school/vocational degree with a woodworking and carpentry concentration preferred
Minimum two years experience with woodworking required
Reliable and dependable, with a commitment to safety and quality
Demonstrated sense of urgency and team attitude
Ability to receive a forklift license (training provided)
Ability to complete Hazmat Training in accordance with CFR49HM 181.215A and 215B
Licensed driver with highly reliable driving record
Export compliance eligibility (U.S. citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, asylee/refugee, or approved for export license)

Responsibilities

Package, crate, and prepare mill products and fabricated parts for shipment
Design and create packaging as needed for mill and fabrication materials using wood, corrugated materials, etc
Prepare labels and proper identification on shipments
Ship materials according to customer instructions
Use power tools (e.g., air nail gun, table and circular power saw, panel saw)
Load trucks properly, brace full container loads to prevent shifting and damage
Follow prescribed safety rules, regulations, and standard operating procedures
Maintain high quality standards
Maintain work area in a clean, safe, and orderly condition; serve as 5S coordinator for Logistics area; follow 6S Standard Work practices
Operate forklift to move material and load/unload trucks
Receive incoming materials, confirm package condition and document accuracy, deliver to internal destinations
Perform shipping transactions for external customers
Perform data entry into SAP for accurate and timely transaction recording
Operate powered industrial lifting equipment to transport materials and chemicals between departments
Operate 24’ Box Truck to transport materials between buildings
Operate woodworking equipment to assemble wood crates for external shipments
Cross train in other process areas as time permits
