Requirements

  • Knowledge and significant experience of managing a warehouse and logistics operations
  • Warehouse Operations: Knowledge of warehouse operations; ability to perform day-to-day operations of a warehouse or facility for products
  • Warehouse Safety: Knowledge of warehouse safety; ability to identify work-related hazards and perform necessary activities to meet regulatory requirements for the safety and protection of workers, environment and site
  • Warehouse Standards, Procedures and Policies: Knowledge of organizational standards, procedures and policies in warehouse and logistics activities; ability to plan, guide, and monitor processes for compliance
  • Quality Management: Knowledge of quality management methods, tools, and techniques and ability to create and support an environment that meets the quality goals of the organization
  • Analytical Thinking: Knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis; ability to determine the root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions that resolve these problems
  • Planning and Organizing: Knowledge of the process of planning and arranging tasks and resources; ability to plan and organize both time and resources to get things completed while structuring and maintaining work in a systematic and highly methodical way
  • Performance Management: Knowledge of successful performance management techniques; ability to apply organization's performance management system, practices, and tools to developing and improving individual, team, and organizational performance
  • Degree or equivalent experience desired

Responsibilities

  • Introduce and develop warehousing and logistics plans and processes that affect production, distribution, and inventory
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of all shifts for an on-site warehouse with a team of up to 40
  • Manage staffing, development, and performance management programs for warehouse staff
  • Oversee warehouse and internal material movement operations, ensuring that safety, schedules and performance requirements are met, and resources are used effectively
  • Monitor overall warehouse and logistics performance and implement safety, cost, and quality control mechanisms
  • Ensure the compliance of all regulatory guidelines and forges a safe and sound environment
  • Inspire continuous improvement of logistics processes through process improvement, prioritization, and project planning
  • Own the development and maintenance cost estimates, forecasts, and cost models
