Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from a college or university in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, and demonstrate native-level or fully bilingual fluency (both spoken and written) in the required language(s). Experience with Localization/QA/translation is preferred, along with proficiency in MS applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), the ability to navigate networks and websites, basic knowledge of PC-hardware and smart phones, and a foundational understanding of linguistic issues.
As a Linguistic QA Tester, you will primarily proofread and edit content already localized to your native language, ensuring accuracy and quality, and potentially translate content from English to your native language and check UIs for functional issues. You will write and report relevant bugs and errors using internal database systems, prioritize tasks and issues efficiently, adhere to project-specific quality standards, trademarks, style guides, and client-preferred checklists and glossaries, troubleshoot basic problems, and effectively communicate testing issues while serving as a subject matter expert for linguistic matters.
