High School Diploma/GED (or college transcript in lieu of diploma)
Driver’s license or ability to obtain one (expected to get CDL if hired into Line Helper position)
Ability to work at heights in nearly all-weather conditions
Must pass Construction and Skilled Trades (CAST) assessment
Must pass background check and drug screen
Computer/laptop and access to the Internet (for virtual classes)
Purchase Fire Retardant (FR) clothing and boots
Submit application to CT State Community College by December 12th, 2025, including High School Diploma/GED
Pass evaluation, interview, and CAST test at Eversource training facility
No need for immigration sponsorship (applicants requiring it should not apply)

Attend 13-week program: Tuesday/Thursday evenings 5:30-8:30pm online and Saturdays 8am-2:30pm in person
Develop fundamental skills to install and maintain Electric Distribution system
Learn safe and effective use of common tools and equipment
Build knowledge of accepted industry practices
Complete trainings: Lineworker Certificate, CDL permit test preparation, AHA Heartsaver® First Aid CPR AED, OSHA10
If employed, respond to emergency situations outside normal hours/location as part of Emergency Restoration assignment
