Lineworker Certificate Program - Capital at Eversource Energy

The program costs $2999.00, with a payment plan available and scholarships that may be available. Students will also need to purchase Fire Retardant (FR) clothing and boots.

The program runs for 13 weeks with courses on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 5:30-8:30pm and Saturdays from 8am-2:30pm. Classes are held online and training sessions in person.

Prerequisites include a High School Diploma/GED, a driver's license or ability to obtain one (with CDL expected if hired), ability to work at heights in all-weather conditions, passing the CAST assessment, background check, drug screen, and having a computer with internet access.

Participants earn a Lineworker Certificate, CDL permit test preparation, AHA Heartsaver® First Aid CPR AED Training, and OSHA10 Training.

Submit your application to CT State Community College by December 12th, 2025, including the application and copies of your High School Diploma/GED. Applications are reviewed selectively, followed by notification, an evaluation at the Eversource training facility, interview, and Construction and Skilled Trades (CAST) assessment.
