Ability to perform heavy manual labor for extended periods of time in all weather conditions
Works under close supervision, receives detailed work instructions, and applies basic judgement in resolving routine issues
Troubleshoots basic problems and identifies deviations from accepted practices

Catches and throws heaving lines from ship’s docking
Pulls mooring lines down the dock and secure to bollards and removes mooring lines from bollards
Ability to train and get approval to operate pedestal crane to move cargo and personnel to/or from vessel (required at levels 3 & 4)
Performs dock inspections prior to vessel arrival
Performs other related duties as assigned
