The candidate must be a Licensed Plumber-Install Technician, possessing the necessary licenses and certifications to perform plumbing work according to code. They should have experience in plumbing repairs and replacements, including the ability to use welding equipment, cement, or glue for sealing joints. Experience with levels, lasers, and other surveying instruments is also required, along with the ability to dig trenches and operate heavy machinery such as pickup trucks and trenching tools.
This role involves performing plumbing repairs and replacements to code, checking slopes for conformance, connecting pipe pieces and sealing joints, installing or repairing sewer structures, laying out pipe routes, aligning and positioning pipes, digging trenches, and operating mechanized equipment to locate existing pipes and prepare sites for plumbing work. The technician will also coordinate layouts with supervisors and cover pipes with earth or other materials as needed.
