This is a fully on-site role at the Torrance, CA headquarters, with a mix of office, laboratory, and industrial environment.
Candidates need a Bachelor’s degree in weld engineering, materials science or engineering, or related field, 6+ years of experience as a weld engineer in aerospace, defense, or automotive applications, direct experience with automated/robotic welding, laser welding, or aluminum welding, and ability to access US export-controlled information.
Preferred qualifications include a Master’s or doctorate in weld engineering or related field, experience with new product implementation, expertise in welding processes like MIG, TIG, laser beam, friction stir, or resistance welding, knowledge of aerospace alloys, proficiency in CAD software, and familiarity with AWS, MIL, and ISO welding standards.
The pay range is based on the level of the job, and for this role, candidates will be considered at Lead levels.
Strong candidates have 6+ years as a weld engineer in aerospace, defense, or automotive, direct hands-on experience with automated/robotic, laser, or aluminum welding, and preferred expertise in specific welding processes, aerospace alloys, CAD, and relevant standards.
