Requirements

  • Degree/HNC in Business discipline
  • Min 3 years of sourcing/materials experience
  • Strong negotiation and contract management skills, with excellent interpersonal and facilitation skills
  • Member or working towards membership of Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply/APICS
  • Strong process mindset
  • Strong financial and analytical skills
  • Experience using SAP or similar ERP

Responsibilities

  • Leading the development and execution of the assigned commodity strategies and supplier agreements/contracts
  • Acting as sourcing lead for assigned commodities, working closely with stakeholders to identify and enable most effective suppliers to business objectives
  • Meeting cost out deflation targets via supplier negotiations, alternate supplier development and/or shifting to Best Cost Region suppliers; develop strategic relationships with global suppliers
  • Collaborating with function stakeholders with cost out opportunities and supplier selections
  • Ensuring supplier performance stability to meet delivery, quality and inventory expectations, via lead time reductions, capacity improvements, etc
  • Driving supplier compliance to standard payment terms and reduce days to pay to meet cash goals
  • Leveraging vendor managed inventory (VMI), consignment, stocking programs and Min Order Quantity strategies with suppliers to meet fulfillment, cost and cash goals
  • Driving supplier selection, development, and overall supplier management excellence
  • Developing alternate sources and/or risk mitigation plans for single & sole source suppliers
