Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or similar field or relevant professional experience
Minimum 10+ years of experience in software engineering, with a focus on cloud infrastructure engineering in a multi-cloud ecosystem
Extensive hands-on experience with major cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud (AWS is most preferred)
Knowledge of distributed systems
Extensive hands-on experience in designing, implementing, and managing cloud infrastructure platforms using Kubernetes, Control Plane architecture, Custom Resource Definitions (CRDs), auto scaling of Kubernetes clusters using Karpenter or related tools
Experience with integrating observability tools such as Splunk, Cortex, Thanos etc
Strong hands-on programming skills in languages such as Python, GoLang, Java, JavaScript
Hands-on experience implementing and supporting modern software architectural principles and patterns (REST, domain-driven design, DevOps, microservices, etc.)
Experience with implementing and integrating AI, Machine Learning, GenAi and related data solutions with exposure A2A and MCP protocols (preferred)
Experience working in a technical leadership role with agile teams in a product model
Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with multiple peers and cross-functional partners
Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor and guide a team of cloud engineers, and excellent collaboration skills

Responsibilities

Building platform solutions for managing and governing Nike’s multi-cloud ecosystem
Being a primary technical leader on one of Nike’s emerging cloud technology platforms
Designing, developing, operating, and integrating Nike’s Cloud Infra Engineering solutions
Integrating with partner platforms and applications
Driving organizational technical priorities
Defining engineering best practices
Collaborating with peers
Translating business problems into technical solutions
Mentoring and guiding a team of cloud engineers
Working effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
