Requirements

Candidates should have 7+ years of software development experience, with at least 3 years specifically in Golang. Experience mentoring other engineers is required, along with the ability to lead architecture and design decisions, manage PRs and code reviews, and implement code quality procedures. Expertise in microservice architecture, distributed systems, and event-driven architectures using tools like Kafka is essential. Candidates must be able to work with real-time, high-resiliency systems, have experience with various AWS services, and be familiar with serverless architectures and Lambdas. Previous experience in Python or Java, AuroraDB, DevOps concepts, data-driven decisioning platforms, or the Financial Services/FinTech industry are considered advantageous.

Responsibilities

The Lead Software Engineer will be responsible for developing back-end services for a large-scale credit card tech decisioning platform. This includes building customer acquisition experiences and supporting back-end services for credit decisioning microservices. The role involves full ownership of planning work, breaking down user stories, building features, deploying to production, and supporting production services for always-on systems with 99.99% uptime requirements.
