Requirements

Candidates should possess 4+ years of experience in production Backend & Video Engineering using Golang, C, C++, or similar languages, demonstrating a successful track record. Strong experience with just-in-time transcoding architectures is preferred.

Responsibilities

As a Software Engineer at Mux, you will lead and execute complex projects across the Video stack and infrastructure, handling hundreds of thousands of videos and more than a billion encodes per month. You will contribute to the full development cycle, including technical design, development, testing, and launch, while also reviewing code, providing feedback, and running your code. Additionally, you will work cross-functionally with product, customer success, and other engineering teams to execute on product and business strategy, bring ideas to influence the team’s roadmap, and build best practices for availability, reliability, and production readiness.
