The company is seeking an experienced Lead SDET with expert-level experience to develop and support Automation Frameworks / Tools for Insurance Technology Systems. This role requires broad software programming / technical expertise within Financial Services / Life Insurance. The Lead SDET will provide leadership to other SDETs and testing staff, ensuring effective integration with the QE CoE. The position focuses on optimizing testing, enhancing efficiency, and improving quality across the organization.

Requirements

• Experience:
  • Minimum of 10+ years of experience in Software Engineering OR
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in software architecture.
• Industry Experience:
  • Hands-on experience developing self-service automation frameworks / Tools in financial service organizations is required.
  • Experience in Insurance organizations is a plus.
• Technical Skills: Expert-level programming and technical expertise.
• Leadership: Proven ability to provide leadership and guidance to other SDETs and testing teams.
• Federated QA Experience: Experience supporting federated Quality Assurance teams with Automation and Tools.

Responsibilities

• Framework Development: Develop and support Automation Frameworks / Tools for Insurance Technology Systems.
• Leadership & Mentorship: Provide leadership, hands-on help, and guidance to QE members across the organization.
• Tool Evaluation: Evaluate market tools or develop custom Automation frameworks / Tools.
• Process Improvement: Develop standardized, repeatable testing processes to reduce cycle time and improve tester productivity.
• Documentation: Provide clear and comprehensive documentation for QE processes and tools.
• Innovation: Innovate to solve complex software engineering and technical problems.
• CoE Metrics: Track key CoE metrics and ensure regular and consistent communication of progress towards overall goals.
• Advocacy: Advocate for automation-first, embedded security, and performance practices.
• Integration: Ensure teams effectively integrate with QE CoE.
• Optimization: Work with QE leadership team to optimize testing, enhance efficiency, and improve quality.
