Requirements

Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information security, or an equivalent experience, and a minimum of 6 years in cybersecurity with at least 3 years in a developer role. They must have expert technical expertise in Python, JavaScript, and PowerShell, along with experience building SOAR workflows and tuning threat detection content, and experience leading the response to enterprise security alerts and incidents.

Responsibilities

The Lead Security Engineer will exemplify security principles and culture, develop, implement, and tune automation playbooks for incident response, and effectively partner across security, technology, and business teams. They will work with the security operations team to identify response actions that can be automated, build automation workflows to contribute to auditable and efficient incident response, and drive continuous improvement in CDK’s detection capability using automation and threat intelligence. Furthermore, they will develop incident response playbooks, lead response to security incidents, triage and identify root cause of security alerts, assure 24x7x365 incident response coverage, and use offensive security techniques to identify detection and response gaps.
