Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university or college
  • 5+ years relevant experience in a Mechanical Engineering role
  • Experience with 3D CAD systems (e.g., Siemens NX)
  • Familiarity with product data management systems (e.g., TeamCenter)
  • Experience with simulation software for Finite Element Analysis & Computational Fluid Dynamics
  • Ability to select engineering techniques and utilize analysis tools to solve problems and make sound design recommendations
  • Familiarity with mechanical component designs and applied methods
  • Ability to drive consistent usage of product design standards (and support updates)
  • May be the lead on engineering projects with some functional supervision
  • Fluent in English, for both oral and written communication

Responsibilities

  • Creating Drill Bit Design and manufacturing packages utilizing 3-D modeling and data management systems
  • Interfacing with Field, Manufacturing, and Technology groups to improve product performance and process efficiency
  • Documenting and sharing lessons learned with cross-functional groups
  • Supporting Manufacturing with problem solving and issue resolution
  • Conducting all activities in line with non-negotiables and applicable processes for HSE, Quality, Legal Compliance, and Cultural pillars
