Requirements

  • Qualified and passionate about providing respectful, encouraging, and cognitively stimulating programming for infants/young children
  • Dedicated to Montessori and/or RIE pedagogy
  • Open to learning, continuing education, and working in a collaborative environment
  • Experience in people management for classroom teachers
  • Knowledge of school operations, policies, procedures, and Bandwidth culture/leadership principles
  • Ability to understand budget constraints and provide input on budgeting

Responsibilities

  • Build a teaching culture of collaboration, mutual respect, and a strong cohesive classroom team
  • Effectively communicate with school/corporate leadership, parents, and teachers
  • Support teachers in acquiring/maintaining accreditations and ensuring best-in-class standards
  • Directly support and evaluate classroom teachers and substitutes for high-quality instruction, child support, and parent communications
  • Manage performance of the classroom team
  • Foster a positive, collaborative, supportive work environment where staff feel valued, heard, and motivated
  • Follow and teach Montessori/RIE pedagogy to others
  • Build consistency in curriculum with other classroom managers, especially same grade levels
  • Ensure Ohana's Principles are delivered to the highest standard; mentor and coach teachers on them
  • Understand and follow school operations/policies; provide input to Director on improvements; ensure team compliance; assist in onboarding
  • Empower every team member in their role
  • Support unified team operations with Corporate Bandwidth team; help team plug into company culture/mission
  • Maintain relationships with key People Services (payroll, HRBP, office services, security); encourage team to do the same
  • Understand and manage budget constraints/opportunities wisely; provide input based on classroom needs
  • Comply with Bandwidth's Code of Conduct; ensure direct reports comply to protect reputation and avoid violations
