Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
5+ years of experience in quality assurance and testing, preferred with a focus on distributed systems
Strong proficiency in unit testing, functional testing, and integration testing methodologies
Experience with backend and API testing in C# on modern .NET (8+)
Familiarity with Linux environments and command-line tools
Knowledge of modern test automation practices and frameworks, with a commitment to automation-first as a baseline
Experience with BDD frameworks is a plus
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across teams

Responsibilities

Design and implement testing strategies for unit, functional, performance, and integration testing specifically for distributed systems
Develop and maintain automated test scripts for backend and API software using C# on .NET 8+
Collaborate with technical and product leads to incorporate test automation practices into the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
Utilize modern test automation frameworks and tools to ensure high-quality software delivery
Conduct performance testing and analyze system behavior under various load conditions
Identify, document, and track defects, ensuring timely resolution and verification
Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in quality assurance and testing methodologies
Advocate for and implement Behavior Driven Development (BDD) frameworks to enhance collaboration between technical and non-technical stakeholders
Provide mentorship and guidance to junior quality engineers on testing best practices and methodologies
