Responsibilities

  • Maintain a clean/neat environment in assigned areas including patient rooms, terminals, offices, nurse's stations, lounges, hallways, bathrooms, kitchen areas, elevators, and lobby areas
  • Participate in all cleaning activities as assigned, such as dusting, washing, drying, mopping, vacuuming, moving furniture, and emptying trash
  • Keep assigned areas fully stocked with supplies like paper towels and toilet paper
  • Maintain stock on individual cleaning carts including wet and dry supplies
  • Maintain good customer relations by demonstrating rapport and cooperative relationships with employees, departments, coworkers, and staff
  • Manage workload and delegate tasks as needed to other staff members
  • Maintain competency and serve as a resource to staff members when leadership is not available
  • Promote Avera’s values of compassion, hospitality, and stewardship
