Requirements

5+ years of Python development experience, with at least 3+ years in embedded systems testing and test frameworks
Strong programming/debugging skills in Python and C
Hands-on experience in embedded software validation and consumer electronics product validation
Excellent debugging skills across application, firmware, and hardware layers
Proficiency with lab equipment: oscilloscopes, USB analysers, power supplies, voltmeters, etc
Experience with sensors, motors, actuators, and hardware components
Experience in communication protocols (UART, SPI, I²C, USB, Bluetooth, Ethernet)
Proficiency in device wrapper development and hardware interface APIs in Python
Experience with multi-threaded/multi-process development and client-server communications (gRPC/REST)
Familiarity with AI technologies applied to testing
Knowledge of electronics engineering fundamentals
ISTQB or equivalent certification
Engineer/Master degree in Software/Firmware Engineering

Responsibilities

Lead and contribute to the deployment, maintenance, and continuous improvement of Python-based Test Frameworks
Program/debug/troubleshoot in Python and C, ensuring reliable automation tools
Write clean, efficient, and maintainable Python code using best practices (pytest, unittest, etc.)
Develop OS-specific test tools and implement end-to-end system test automation
Integrate AI-based solutions into test automation when relevant
Mentor junior engineers and support the growth of the Chennai team
