Requirements

Candidates must have at least 10 years of experience in Information Technology, with a minimum of 5 years in Healthcare. A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is required, along with over 2 years of experience with web services like RESTful APIs, XML, XSLT, and schemas. Experience building applications on cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) is necessary, as are strong communication, leadership, project management, collaboration, and problem-solving skills. A demonstrated growth mindset with agility and commitment to personal and team development is also essential. Preferred qualifications include experience with healthcare interoperability standards (FHIR, HL7, CCD, CDA), familiarity with EHR systems, knowledge of technologies such as Kubernetes, Apigee, and various databases, and experience developing integrations using Java, Spring Boot microservices, and Kubernetes.

Responsibilities

The Lead Director will spearhead the development and implementation of interoperability solutions within the healthcare technology ecosystem, leading a cross-functional team focused on seamless data exchange using standards like FHIR/HL7 and implementing use cases for internal data utilization. Key responsibilities include leading the design, development, and deployment of interoperability solutions, collaborating with stakeholders, defining engineering strategy and roadmap, providing technical leadership in architecture and design, overseeing engineering projects, staying current with healthcare IT technologies, driving innovation, ensuring adherence to development standards, contributing to long-term planning, providing leadership updates, and leading and mentoring a team of engineers.
