Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in graphic design, fashion design, industrial design, apparel design, material design, textile design, or a related field (or suitable combination of education, experience, and training)
  • Preferred design experience: 6+ years
  • Comprehensive knowledge of current and emerging design and fashion trends in sportswear, streetwear, and performance footwear and apparel
  • Deep knowledge and experience in Color and Material design specifically for product
  • Foundational understanding of footwear construction, schematic development, and tech pack creation
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and timelines at once
  • Ability to translate consumer insights into thoughtful narratives and graphic storytelling
  • Strong visual and verbal presentation skills; able to effectively show and communicate design intent to internal and external audiences
  • Professional level experience using Illustrator & Photoshop; Miro
  • Strong passion and knowledge of color design and product creation
  • Ability to problem solve from concept to final design
  • Expert communication skills with the ability to translate ideas into focused designs
  • Passion and energy for sport culture and design

Responsibilities

  • Establish seasonal color direction and strategy for footwear product under the Training business
  • Lead the Training color design team in creating unique collections across Men’s and Women’s Training product on a seasonal basis
  • Set distinct color and material direction
  • Develop original content and product storytelling
  • Work closely with Material Designers to bring narrative and storytelling to life
  • Collaborate with Graphic Designers to develop prints, patterns, and trims
  • Partner with Apparel Color Designers to create Head to Toe Synergy
  • Work with Product Management teams to build engaging, trend-driven narratives that meet the needs of target consumers
  • Collaborate with Development teams to communicate design intent, help with schematic creation and review, and workshop prototypes
  • Manage and design presentation materials
  • Present concepts to internal teams and leadership as well as external partners
  • Participate actively and energetically in the creative process
  • Execute complex deliverables in a fast-paced environment
