Requirements

  • 10 years’ experience working in a design delivery environment
  • Experience leading, inspiring, and organizing design teams to deliver modern, best-in-class digital experiences with proven impact for customers and business alike
  • Experience managing departmental budgeting and resource allocation processes; ability to manage through other managers/high-level technical staff
  • Ability to coordinate multiple design workstreams, provide holistic interactive, UX, and creative direction to large-scale projects
  • Lead and maintain creation of a UX vision and design roadmap across one or more portfolios
  • Proven experience and familiarity leading teams that build and deliver high-quality mobile-first and app native work
  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Information Design, Interaction Design, Product Design, Human Factors or equivalent/relevant work experience. Master’s Degree a plus

Responsibilities

  • Develops and communicates the digital design vision, purpose, and strategy for the organization, aligning it with overall business goals
  • Oversees the development of user personas, user journeys, and wireframes to design and implement the User Experience (UX) design process
  • Defines UI design principles, patterns, and guidelines to ensure consistency across digital products and platforms
  • Establishes and enhances design processes, methodologies, and workflows to drive efficiency and productivity
  • Administers UX design concepts, recommendations, and business cases to stakeholders in a clear and persuasive manner
  • Controls the adoption of design research methodologies and tools to inform design decisions and uncover user insights
  • Communicates with executive leadership and other stakeholders to understand their needs, gain support for design initiatives, and align design efforts with business strategies
  • Recruits, onboards, and develops a high-performing design team, ensuring the right mix of skills and expertise
  • Leads and inspires a team of designers, providing guidance and mentorship to foster their professional growth
