Requirements
Candidates must be a Native Uzbek Speaker with C1+ English proficiency, possessing 1-3 years of experience in subtitling and dubbing translations, quality control, or a related localization process, and demonstrating a passion for their native language and culture, including expert knowledge of lingo, slang, cultural references, and sensitivities. They should be organized and structured, yet adaptable to changes, comfortable working under pressure, and possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with strong attention to detail and empathetic team leadership skills.
Responsibilities
The Language Coordinator will coordinate localization efforts with studios, perform quality control of English creative assets, such as videos, titles, and descriptions, create subtitles/dubbing scripts in Uzbek ensuring cultural accuracy and linguistic appropriateness, create localized metadata, meet tight deadlines while managing multiple projects and delivering QC feedback, communicate directly with studios, document all processes and maintain localization-related documentation and tools, and act as a brand ambassador for the global audience by researching and identifying opportunities and suggesting potential partnerships to grow the audience in Uzbek.
