Responsibilities

Assist in the maintenance and calibration of instrumentation and equipment used in the analytical processes
Assist in the preparation of reagents, calibration standards and control materials in accordance with the relevant SOPs
Assist in stock control to ensure adequate levels of reagents, chemicals and consumables are held in stock
Assist in administration tasks (e.g. completing record forms, spreadsheets, filing, scanning) to support the laboratory
Aliquot samples into analyser racks maintaining a steady throughput to the screening laboratory, place processed samples onto the temporary storage racks
Demographic entry of donor details in a fast and accurate manner
Clerical review of entered donor details
Undertake the day to day work programme to agreed deadlines and quality standards
Ensure a safe and efficient working environment
