Requirements

AA in Chemistry, Biotech Certification, or in lieu of degree relevant work experience
Self starter who is comfortable working with standard operating procedures
Demonstrates a high level of integrity and accountability
Demonstrates ability to work independently and as part of a team, to meet departmental goals
Desire to work in a fast-paced, collaborative startup environment with a strong commitment to quality
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Excellent problem-solving skills
Able to multi-task and prioritize work effectively
Must be able to lift/move up to 25 pounds
Must be able to sit and/or stand for extended periods up to four (4) hours at a time
Strong attention to detail
Desire to learn and adapt to new processes
Familiarity with safe laboratory practices

Responsibilities

Synthesize oligonucleotides by following established SOP’s
Operate complex robotic systems to manage liquid product through a highly automated workflow
Mix, store, and dispose of chemical solutions
Print labels for bottles, vials, and boxes
Package, seal, inventory, and ship products
Ensure laboratory products and supplies are maintained and stocked
Capture production data in compliance with standard guidelines
Maintain and perform cleaning to ensure compliant laboratory environment
Edit manufacturing documents/SOPs as needed to reflect current best practices and current processes
Troubleshoot and resolve problems arising from day to day operations
Escalate issues that are out of the scope of normal production
If necessary, follow up by creating new tickets to log, investigate and/or resolve issues
Perform inventory reconciliation
Practice and drive continuous process improvement with team
Handle and dispose of hazardous chemicals
