Requirements
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Effective communication skills
- Capable of handling a variety of tasks and working on a team
- Manual dexterity to assemble small components
- Experience with electrical/mechanical assembly
- Ability to perform prototype testing per written specification or verbal instruction
- Experience working with piping/tubing, pumps, fittings, sensors, electronics, power supply/potentiostat, and/or electrical wiring
- Prior hands-on experience working in mechanical, electrical, and/or chemical labs or industrial companies
Responsibilities
- Manage lab resources
- Assist and advise on component selection from external suppliers
- Order components and ensure delivery and installation of equipment
- Maintain instrumentation and lab space organization
- Aid engineers in prototype assembly and testing, including:
- Construction of test fixtures
- Electrical wiring for both low voltage and high voltage/high current circuits
- Rework electronic boards
- Hydrogen gas processing (piping, drying, etc.)
- Water processing (pumps, filtration, etc.)
