Requirements

Candidates should possess a Bachelor of Science degree in computer science, life science, or an equivalent industry experience, along with at least 3 years of relevant technical experience encompassing Windows technologies, networking, remote computing, and backup systems. Excellent customer service skills, complemented by the ability to listen and interpret client requests, are also required, alongside strong oral and written communication skills and knowledge of laboratory safety practices. Experience with virtual machine support and scientific instrumentation is preferred.

Responsibilities

The Lab Computing Analyst will provide technical support of customer laboratory environments, managing the installation, retirement, and relocation of equipment. They will implement Windows-based security, ensure adherence to client policies through reporting and compliance programs, act as a technical support contact for field service engineers and vendors, and provide technical subject matter expertise for system validation and change management efforts. The role also involves documenting procedures, maintaining a physical inventory of lab equipment, performing system preventative maintenance, and creating and maintaining best practices. Additionally, the analyst will collaborate with business users and managers to analyze customer needs and propose solutions, and contribute to the development of new system validation and change management efforts.
