Expertise in operational management, including identifying process improvements and handling complex, high-risk cases
Proficiency in performance management, measuring KPIs, conducting one-on-one coaching, and running team meetings
Subject matter expertise in KYC, regulatory obligations, internal policies, and risk-based approaches to prevent money laundering and financial crime
Capability to perform deep dives, analyze root causes, and propose solutions
Strong planning and execution skills to meet KPIs and deliver initiatives
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills

Responsibilities

Oversee daily operations of a team of KYC Analysts conducting customer due diligence reviews and maintaining KYC records
Lead by example, promote ownership, accountability, knowledge sharing, and continuous learning
Coach and develop team skills, behaviors, and competencies; manage development plans
Conduct career map check-ins and recommend promotions, salary raises, etc
Identify and propose process improvements; collaborate with other teams for efficiency
Provide guidance on complex, high-risk cases and escalations; handle admin tasks like scheduling, training, hiring, interviewing, and team activities
Measure team KPIs, ensure performance targets and quality standards are met, focusing on customer experience
Conduct regular one-on-one coaching sessions and run team meetings
Train and coach team on operational topics; maintain understanding of regulations and policies
Perform deep dives on problematic cases and propose solutions to senior leadership
Ensure KPIs are met, provide insights to stakeholders, and take accountability for initiatives
Collaborate with stakeholders, ensuring clear, professional communication
