Requirements

  • 4–6 years of experience in infrastructure, DevOps, or platform engineering
  • Solid hands-on experience with Kubernetes (preferably upstream or RKE2)
  • Working knowledge of Rancher, Helm, and GitOps tools (Fleet, ArgoCD, or similar)
  • Familiarity with containerization (Docker), Linux systems, and basic CI/CD practices
  • Good understanding of networking, security basics, and infrastructure operations
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to collaborate in cross-functional teams
  • Eagerness to learn advanced Kubernetes practices and grow into senior-level responsibilities

Responsibilities

  • Assist with deployment and configuration of Kubernetes clusters (upstream, RKE2) in connected and air-gapped environments
  • Support operations of the Rancher Gov stack for multi-cluster management
  • Contribute to GitOps pipelines using Fleet and ArgoCD to enable automation and consistency
  • Help package and distribute workloads using OCI bundles and Helm charts
  • Implement security best practices in collaboration with senior engineers (e.g., network segmentation, access control)
  • Participate in cluster upgrades, patching, and monitoring for stability and performance
  • Troubleshoot platform issues and escalate complex problems to senior engineers when needed
  • Document processes, playbooks, and configuration details for repeatability
