Requirements

  • 2+ years experience involving kitchen operations
  • Exceptional organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail
  • Demonstrated flexibility to adapt to a dynamic, ever-changing work environment
  • Culinary experience in professional kitchens
  • Good knife skills and finger dexterity to use small tools and utensils adeptly
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Working knowledge of basic computer programs, i.e. Microsoft Excel, Word, etc
  • Degree from a culinary arts training program preferred
  • Availability to work onsite with a flexible schedule often including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to exert well-paced mobility for up to 8 hours, including standing, walking, bending, and squatting
  • Ability to work with commercial equipment including stand mixers, ovens, torches, etc

Responsibilities

  • Supports the Executive Chef and the Chef Team with daily BOH operations
  • Collects and distributes recipes and ingredients between outlets
  • Enters and maintains recipes in Eataly’s database software
  • Guides the Chefs on ordering, tracking costs, and completing Interglobo Orders if urgent
  • Maintains order guides, logs, transfer sheets, and SOPs for BOH outlets
  • Oversees monthly inventories: assists Chef Team in counting products, entering data into our systems, analyzing gaps
  • Manages relationships with vendors, assesses credits and shorts, and works with Inventory Control to resolve issues
  • Receives Purchase Orders from other stores and processes orders for shipment
  • Acts as a liaison between all inter-store departments and BOH
  • Performs other duties as required or assigned
