Requirements

Candidates must have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience. Proficiency in Linux systems administration is required, along with hands-on experience with Java Spring, Python, Ansible, and BASH scripting. Strong problem-solving skills and excellent communication abilities are essential, as well as the capability to work in a collaborative team environment. An active Secret Clearance or the ability to obtain one is preferred, along with prior experience in DOD-related projects and familiarity with Agile methodologies.

Responsibilities

The Junior Software Engineer will develop, test, and maintain software solutions using Java Spring and Python. They will automate deployment and configuration tasks with Ansible and write and optimize BASH scripts for system automation. Troubleshooting and resolving issues in Linux-based systems is a key responsibility, as well as collaborating with cross-functional teams to design and implement software solutions. Participation in code reviews and providing constructive feedback to peers is expected, along with documenting software processes to ensure alignment with project requirements and supporting integration with DOD-specific systems.
