Requirements

Candidates should have some experience in manual QA for mobile and/or web, ideally in a fast-moving startup environment. They must be based in a country where Tilt is live and possess strong product awareness, understanding the intent of new features and thinking like a user. Excellent verbal and written English communication skills are required, along with comfort testing across different platforms, OS versions, and screen sizes. Proficiency with network debugging tools (e.g., Wireshark, Proxyman), network simulation tools, analytics & crash reporting platforms, and basic HTTP debugging is necessary. Bonus points for knowledge of French, Spanish, Italian, or Polish, and experience or interest in test automation frameworks and familiarity with BrowserStack.

Responsibilities

The Junior QA Engineer will get up to speed on Tilt’s core flows, community, and feature set for both iOS and Android. They will write and document manual test scenarios, run regression test cycles, and produce clear, actionable reports. The role involves setting QA bug-reporting standards, exploring platform-specific differences, and testing seller dashboard features for consistency. Responsibilities include owning regression coverage, collaborating with Product Owners on bug prioritization, testing across multiple devices and network conditions, and maintaining a backlog of known issues. The engineer will adapt to changing priorities, draft a long-term automation strategy, and act as a knowledge source for their area.
