Requirements

  • Foundational knowledge of Cloud Computing (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Basic proficiency in a scripting language (Python, Bash, Powershell)
  • Basic understanding of DB management (desirable)
  • Strong communication and troubleshooting skills
  • Knowledge in using distributed source and version control tools
  • Some experience on cloud platforms
  • Work history in a technical role such as Platform Engineer, Support Engineer, IT, DBA
  • AWS Cloud Certification (desirable)

Responsibilities

  • Develop robust and scalable infrastructure across multiple AWS regions
  • Support multiple Dev & QE teams
  • Work closely with InfoSec to adhere to best security practices
  • Build & Deploy AWS resources using CloudFormation templates & CI/CD pipelines, including Compute (ECS, EC2), Storage (S3), Databases (RDS, Aurora, DynamoDB), Pipelines (Codepipeline), Networking (VPC, Security Groups, AWS WAF)
  • Collaborate with the team, developers, quality engineers to support a culture of DevOps collaboration and knowledge sharing
  • Troubleshoot application issues
  • Work with third-party tools: Atlassian Product Suite (JIRA, Bitbucket, OpsGenie), CrowdStrike Security, Snyk Code Scanning
  • Utilise monitoring, alerting, and logging systems to ensure system health and rapid issue resolution
  • Participate in Out Of Hours On-Call rostering (Weekly Rotation)
  • Maintain clear and up-to-date documentation of AWS infrastructure, procedures, and best practices
