Requirements

  • 1 year of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience and confidence within an ERP system (e.g., Plex, Oracle, SAP, or Epicor)

Responsibilities

  • Compile and maintain records of business transactions and activities
  • Report procurement activity and interface between program and commodity management for new sourcing and change programs in line with the group commodity strategy
  • Review requisitions and bid proposals
  • Negotiate contracts within budgetary limitations and scope of authority
  • Purchase supplies
  • Prepare purchase orders or bid requests
  • Enter data for all purchase orders
  • Confer with vendors to obtain product or service information (price, availability, delivery schedule)
  • Receive and contact vendors to check order status
  • Contact vendors concerning discrepancies with quantity and quality
  • Interface with all departments and resolve problems and issues with needed purchase items
  • Help develop inventory tracking system
  • Perform other duties as assigned
