Requirements

1 year of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience and confidence within an ERP system (e.g., Plex, Oracle, SAP, or Epicor)
Quality-focused and safety oriented
Analytical mind with strong attention to detail
Excellent communication and leadership abilities
Proficiency in Google G-Suite (drive, mail, calendar, docs, sheets, slides, charts, hangouts), Slack, and application lifecycle
Passion for safety through quality in design, software development, and manufacturing
Negotiation and contract negotiation experience
Demonstrated ability to build relations with a supplier network and insight into suppliers' processes

Responsibilities

Compile and maintain records of business transactions and activities
Report procurement activity and interface between program and commodity management for new sourcing and change programs in line with the group commodity strategy
Review requisitions and bid proposals
Negotiate contracts within budgetary limitations and scope of authority
Purchase supplies
Prepare purchase orders or bid requests
Enter data for all purchase orders
Confer with vendors to obtain product or service information (price, availability, delivery schedule)
Receive and contact vendors to check order status
Contact vendors concerning discrepancies with quantity and quality
Interface with all departments and resolve problems and issues with needed purchase items
Help develop inventory tracking system
Perform other duties as assigned
