Minimum high school graduate
Minimum 2 years of experience in related field/responsibilities
Minimum 2 years of experience in commercial construction or multi-family construction
Commercial cladding/siding experience preferred
Proficiency in the use of the English language in reading, writing, and speaking
Ability to read and understand blueprints
Strong math skills including algebra and trigonometry
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to use a computer
Ability to learn estimating software
Ability to successfully interact with all organizational levels and the public
Ability to communicate effectively with others, including customers, builders, peers, and management
Ability to manage several activities/projects at once, to organize and prioritize work, to meet deadlines, and work under little supervision
Ability to sit/stand at a desk for prolonged periods of time, be mobile in the work environment, and work hours mandated by management
Ability to pass a drug test

Responsibilities

Produce accurate and timely estimates for Siding and Cladding materials and labor in commercial and multi-family projects based on engineered and designed plans
Produce estimates in a timely fashion according to bid schedules created by the lead Estimator
Train and work using On Screen Takeoff, Quick Bid, and Microsoft Office products
Demonstrate proficiency with reading and writing skills for emails, letters, and proposals
During the bid process, speak with customers, inform them if bidding the project, relay questions, send RFIs as needed, and gather information for complete bids
Review all plans and specs at time of bid to ensure accuracy
Produce well-written, detailed, and accurate proposals with project-specific inclusions/exclusions and boilerplate items to clearly outline scope
Maintain accurate and up-to-date bid information in the company’s CRM pipeline software, including schedule information, pricing feedback, contact information, and % hot fields
Meet bid deadlines, requiring flexibility in hours as necessary
Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
Perform other related duties as assigned
