Candidates should possess at least two years of journalism experience, preferably in energy markets, and a Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, or a related field, or equivalent work experience. They should have developed news and content creation strategies and experience working in newsrooms with daily or weekly publishing deadlines. Experience with news editing and public speaking is preferred.
The Journalist will report and write breaking news and analysis on the U.S. and international crude oil and refined product markets, focusing on the midstream and downstream sectors and broader industry trends. They will cultivate relationships with industry sources and market participants, contribute to social media content and blog postings, and uphold OPIS compliance policies. The role also involves occasional travel to industry events and conferences.
