Requirements
Candidates should possess experience in IT support, particularly within a remote or fast-paced startup environment, and demonstrate comfort with macOS, Linux, and mobile device management (MDM) platforms. They must be a clear communicator with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical individuals, exhibiting empathy, patience, and a people-first mindset. Furthermore, candidates should be proactive, self-motivated, and capable of managing multiple priorities while maintaining a security-conscious approach and an understanding of scalable systems. Finally, the ideal candidate should be able to travel on a quarterly basis.
Responsibilities
The IT Specialist will respond quickly and kindly to IT support requests via Slack, email, or ticketing systems, provision laptops, software, and systems, collaborate with HR and Recruiting on onboarding, maintain clear and helpful IT documentation, troubleshoot issues across macOS and Linux endpoints, monitor MDMs and security tooling, assist with offsite A/V setups, participate in on-call rotations, and suggest improvements, automate repetitive tasks, and generally streamline processes to enhance productivity and reduce frustration for team members.
