Requirements

Minimum 18+ years of industry experience in software engineering
At least 7+ years in managerial roles overseeing teams and projects
Expertise in managing software projects, including resource planning, timeline tracking, and risk mitigation
Strong communication, collaboration, and team leadership abilities
Experience with Vantage and wmA products (significant advantage)
Experience with Micro Focus tools
Experience with COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2 for z/OS, Assembler, PL/I, Rexx
Experience with flat/sequential files, GDGs, and VSAM

Responsibilities

Lead and manage a team of software engineers
Drive accurate project estimations, including effort, timeline, and resource planning
Act as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing their queries and ensuring high customer satisfaction
Partner with product management and quality assurance teams
Manage end-to-end delivery, meeting account objectives, and managing Application outsourcing and Managed Services engagements
Identify and develop new opportunities
Manage project financials and P&L
Successfully manage large-scale software development projects
Provide mentorship and guidance to team members, conduct performance assessments, and drive career development planning
Contribute to the software engineering strategy, aligning with organizational technology goals
Oversee agile development processes (sprint planning, execution, retrospectives)
Collaborate with architects and senior engineers to maintain code quality and design
Track project progress, identify risks, and resolve issues
Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement
Implement cloud migration and conversion projects
