Requirements

  • One to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Demonstrate consistency, accountability, reliability, and solid work ethic
  • Working knowledge of oil and gas equipment
  • Experience with FC style and FLS style gate valves
  • Ability to operate hand tools such as hammers, screw drivers, hydraulic torque wrenches and additional specialty tools – including micrometers
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Have a clean driving record (no more than 2 moving violations within the last 12 months; no more than 3 moving violations in the past 3 years)
  • Ability to frequently stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear
  • Ability to sit, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
  • Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
  • Specific vision abilities: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
  • Ability to wear protective footwear and other Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required

Responsibilities

  • Process incoming gate valve start to finish
  • Accept equipment from delivery, recommission equipment, load equipment for delivery, complete all associate paperwork, perform quality check, and manage inventory (without supervision)
  • Understand customer requirements throughout the entire refurbishment of pressure control product to produce high quality product
  • Perform final inspection
  • Mentor and train fellow technicians in the refurbishment process
  • Demonstrate leadership skills
  • Exhibit and always advocate exemplary safety culture
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
  • Provide assembly and testing of various mechanical components of valves
