Requirements

  • High School Diploma required; Associates Degree preferred
  • Leadership experience required (1-3 years)
  • Exposure to a warehouse and/or chemical environment a plus
  • Able to lift 40 lbs. without assistance
  • Adherence to all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Safety Standards
  • Work in environmental conditions: Cold Room/Freezers (-22°F/-6°C), fluctuating hot/cold temps, warehouse, hazardous/toxic materials
  • Some degree of PPE required (safety glasses, gowning, gloves, lab coat, ear plugs, etc.)
  • Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with key internal and external customers/suppliers, functioning as a change agent/team leader and team member in a multi-skilled, dynamic, and matrix business environment
  • Demonstrated ability to motivate teams and establish goals, metrics, data, and plans to achieve organizational objectives
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Experience in participating and leading Continuous Improvement/Practical Process Improvement (PPI) events and problem-solving
  • Experience in driving the PPI business system by encouraging JDIs and using the PPI process to drive improvements
  • Proficient in the use of inventory management system for real-time transactions (material receipts, inventory reporting, reconciliation/investigations, order shipping confirmations, cycle counting)

Responsibilities

  • Supervise the inventory replenishment team in support of process development and production
  • Perform and document daily material handling support of operations in a cGMP environment
  • Ensure materials are stored, staged, and transacted by established procedures
  • Lead day-to-day inventory control activities of staff; assign, monitor, and review progress and accuracy of work; direct efforts and provide technical mentorship on complex issues
  • Lead operators supporting inventory activities
  • Serve as subject matter authority on inventory control, providing mentorship to other material handlers and driving daily operations
  • Adhere to Safety & Environmental guidelines/policies as well as cGMP and other applicable regulatory agencies
  • Support inventory management processes (cycle-counting, warehouse slotting optimization, component staging, etc.)
  • Support inventory accuracy activities to achieve annual targets
  • Lead PPI (Practical Process Improvement) initiatives and continuous improvements
  • Support and maintain accurate critical metrics, track trends, and implement top strategies
  • Execute real-time transactions in inventory management system (material receipts, inventory reporting, reconciliation/investigations, order shipping confirmations, cycle counting)
  • Work effectively with cross-functional departments to complete investigations if necessary
  • Provide coaching and corrective actions when needed
  • Participate in project implementation
