Requirements

  • 7+ years' experience in Interior Architecture & Design
  • Preferred Bachelor’s Degree or Technical College Degree/Certificate in an accredited Interior Architectural related program
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to create complete presentation packages
  • Experience in Deltek Vision, Newforma, and MS Office preferred
  • Experience in AutoCAD/Architectural Desktop, Adobe Suite, and Sketchup
  • Proficiency in Revit
  • Advanced knowledge of building regulations and safety codes

Responsibilities

  • Prepares and conducts client presentations while meeting project goals
  • Develops and maintains ongoing relationships with clients
  • Follows projects from inception through construction to maintain design quality and intent
  • Conducts programming efforts to facilitate space planning, layout and utilization of furnishings and equipment
  • Responsible for selection and specification of FFE, all finish materials and artwork; understands material requirements and preliminary costs
  • Supports the Construction Administration phase responding to RFIs, COs, and reviews shop drawings
  • Keeps the project team on schedule and on budget while providing a cohesive design
  • Coordinates with Project Managers
  • Mentors and directs the work of less experienced staff in correctly documenting design
  • Communicates with clients, consultants, contractors, industry partners, and Ware Malcomb team members
  • Implements and uses the best practices of Ware Malcomb for all projects and processes
  • Contributes in office activities and is involved in design community organizations
