Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Commercial/Government training in related disciplines
  • 5+ years of relevant work experience in Defense, Integrated Product Support or Aftersales
  • Experience in leading program/project management in an engineering, quality or logistics position
  • Understanding of project management and vehicle sustainment
  • Previous experience with government contracted programs (Preferred: Department of Defense (DOD)/Department of State (DOS))
  • Ability to define processes within a lean organization
  • Passion for understanding customer needs and delivering an exceptional product
  • Familiarity with DoD/defense program environments and standards
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to comfortably interface with all levels of GM and Government Leadership
  • Comfort learning new tools and technology concepts quickly
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, projects, and demanding time frames
  • Candidate must be a U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident)

Responsibilities

  • Review contract requirements to break down and define project goals, objectives, and scope using work breakdown structure (WBS) construct
  • Develop detailed project plans, including timelines and budgets
  • Assign tasks and work within the department to allocate resources effectively
  • Assemble and lead the team
  • Motivate the team and resolve conflicts
  • Prepare estimates to complete and manage the project budget and resources
  • Oversee project execution and ensure tasks are completed
  • Monitor progress and track key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Communicate project status, risks, and progress to stakeholders
  • Serve as the central point of contact for all project-related communication within IPS
  • Manage customer expectations
  • Identify and assess potential project risks
  • Develop strategies to mitigate risks and resolve issues
  • Ensure the project delivers high-quality results that meet objectives
  • Work closely with multiple Program Managers to plan and oversee the execution of all IPS tasks and projects to ensure they are completed on time, within budget, and within scope
  • Assist in proposal bid preparation and statement of work reviews to ensure compliant proposals
