Requirements

Candidates must reside in Arizona and possess at least 6 months of experience working with Medicare and Medicaid programs, as well as 6 months of experience in behavioral health systems related to individuals with serious mental illness. Proficiency in typing, basic computer knowledge, and the ability to navigate multiple systems for data retrieval are required. Strong critical thinking and multitasking skills are preferred.

Responsibilities

The Intake Specialist will verify caller enrollment status with Mercy Care Plan, collect and document accurate demographic information, and confirm member special assistance details. Responsibilities include utilizing QuickBase to complete intake forms, thoroughly documenting reasons for calls, and providing empathetic support to callers. The role also involves assisting with special projects as assigned.
