Candidates must possess advanced proficiency in creating digital learning experiences using authoring tools such as Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, and Camtasia. They should also have advanced skills in designing and delivering instructor-led training, extensive experience administering training in a learning management system (LMS), and strong digital design skills using tools like the Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, and HTML. Excellent written and oral communication, advanced knowledge of data evaluation and assessments, strong project management and organization skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects independently are also required. A degree in instructional design, education, or a related field, with a master's degree preferred, is necessary, along with experience producing and delivering training in corporate and/or manufacturing environments and demonstrated ability to leverage diverse media formats. Experience with designing, producing, and delivering training in AR/VR formats is a plus.
The Instructional Designer will produce effective and engaging educational experiences for adult audiences, collaborating with stakeholders and subject matter experts to develop course content, assessments, and evaluations. They will assess user needs to align content and design, apply core instructional design principles to maximize learner engagement and retention, and leverage the learning management system for training delivery and tracking. Responsibilities also include training instructors, managers, and learners on learning technologies, maintaining projects, organizing course documentation, and analyzing, updating, and refining existing training content. Staying current on best practices in instructional design, including researching and implementing new technologies and techniques, is also a key duty.
