Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Ability to walk or stand predominantly
  • Ability to talk and hear
  • Ability to use hands and fingers to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
  • Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds
  • Specific vision abilities: close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
  • Follow Advance/CarQuest Store uniform policy
  • ASE certification preferred, but not required
  • No supervisory responsibilities

Responsibilities

  • Support Professional customers with use of Weblink, WorldPac, and other electronic part catalogs (assist in understanding e-catalog lookup and ordering systems; provide Weblink specification sheets; access online sources for late model cars needing special fluids)
  • Manage inventory of stocked parts (identify products to stock; assist Parts Manager/Supply Lead with daily stock orders and removing aged product; help receive and put away stock orders)
  • Source and order requested parts for Professional customers' mechanical repair processes (monitor delivery times on Aftermarket and Fast Moving Parts; source OE product where needed; assist in sourcing and ordering recycled or hard-to-find parts)
  • Follow up on ordered product ETAs (provide communication to Store General Manager on service/inventory issues; track RTVs, cores, and warranties for prompt resolution)
  • Attend Professional customer Production meetings as requested
  • Reduce OE spend (work with customer Parts/Supply Associates to identify OE dealer purchases available through intercompany channels; coordinate product info and training for technicians; assist in reviewing wholesale cars for potential parts)
  • Identify cars in parts hold and find solutions; review Pending list of cars to verify basic market basket product availability
  • Manage hardware program (identify products to stock; check stock levels and prepare suggested stock orders twice weekly or as needed; help receive and put away hardware orders)
  • Provide feedback on issues, concerns, and opportunities to Professional customer management team
  • Anticipate Professional customer needs and offer potential solutions
