Requirements

Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, along with at least 5 years of experience in infrastructure engineering, particularly with GCP and Kubernetes. Strong expertise in GCP networking, including service meshes like Istio, is required, alongside proficiency in Terraform, Helm, Argo CD, and GitLab CI/CD for infrastructure as code. Experience with Python and GoLang for scripting and automation, combined with knowledge of security best practices, governance, and compliance standards, is also essential. Familiarity with cloud well-architected framework principles and experience working with GCP security controls such as VPC SC, PAM, and hierarchical firewall management is desired.

Responsibilities

As an Infrastructure Engineer, you will implement a hub and spoke model on GCP for multi-tenant environments, collaborating closely with the architecture team. You will also implement multi-region resilience, security, and cloud-agnostic infrastructure, set up GCP environments including networking architecture, IAM roles, and robust security configurations. Furthermore, you will deploy and manage GKE clusters, Istio service mesh, and K8s services across GCP and Azure environments, utilize Terraform, Helm, Argo CD, and GitLab CI/CD for infrastructure as code implementation, ensure high availability, resilience, and optimal performance, and implement solutions ensuring security best practices, compliance standards, governance, policies, and well-architected framework principles are met. You will facilitate seamless integration and knowledge transfer within internal teams, create comprehensive documentation, and potentially travel up to 15% of the time for projects and clients.
