Requirements

Willingness to work in Birmingham and travel to client sites throughout the UK on an ad hoc basis
Eligibility for BPSS and SC clearance
Ability to work independently and be self-motivated
Experience leading a team of Automation Infrastructure Engineers and Analysts
Experience in Infrastructure Development and Automation: Building use cases and creating infrastructure applications using programming languages such as C#, C++, and Python to process data locally
Experience in Containerization and Orchestration: Using tools like Docker and Kubernetes to package and manage applications for scalable and efficient deployment
Experience with Packaged Application and industry standard APIs such as Revitt, MEF, and TMFORUM
Experience building applications to manage Infrastructure operations (e.g., Juniper APIs)
Experience in Network Design and Optimisation Activities: Automate cabling designs for edge deployments in Colos & PoPs, automate configuring and management of local networks, and integrating with broader network architectures
Knowledge of Scalability and Resource Management: Managing resources efficiently via deployment of scalable infrastructure, including containerization, virtualization, and orchestration tools to dynamically allocate resources based on demand
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills

Responsibilities

Perform project implementations including design, build, and system deployments, including troubleshooting, security, and configuration changes
Troubleshoot issues, work with and manage third-party vendors, and aid internal and external customers
Engage with multiple teams and contribute to key decisions
Provide solutions to problems for immediate team and across multiple teams
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and deploy data-driven insights
Develop innovative data solutions to optimize data generation, collection, and processing
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data quality and integrity
