Requirements

Minimum 2 years of mechanic work experience documented in work history or graduate of an industrial maintenance training program (can be combination totaling at least 2 years)
Basic computer skills for logging information, processing work orders, and using Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
Effective communication and basic math skills (including percentages, fractions, and measurements)
Ability to read and understand blueprints, manuals, and work orders
Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 75 lbs. occasionally and 20 lbs. frequently
Ability to stand on hard surface for up to 12 hours per day
Ability to work in confined and tall spaces, walk, climb, utilize a ladder, operate a lift, bend, and stoop
Repetitive gripping, pushing, and pulling; frequent overhead work
Ability to work in temperatures from -25°F to over 100°F inside plant and outside
Must be able and willing to furnish own tools
Must be able to work overtime and weekends as needed
Willing and able to perform physical requirements of the job with or without reasonable accommodation

Responsibilities

Provide maintenance support with moderate supervision to ensure safe and effective operation of equipment and team
Perform routine preventative maintenance repairs on mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic plant equipment
Conduct emergency mechanical or electrical repairs as needed
Troubleshoot issues related to mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment
Safely apply knowledge and troubleshooting skills to all assigned production equipment
Effectively interact with all plant personnel to accomplish plant and individual goals
Minimize downtime due to equipment failure
