Requirements

  • 8+ years indirect procurement experience, focusing on Logistics categories, with an international scope
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Master’s degree and/or Certified Purchasing Manager (or equivalent) preferred
  • Sourcing/Supply Chain certifications or training desired
  • Experience in commodity analysis/supplier management/project management roles
  • Experience developing, negotiating, and implementing commercial contracts, including supply and service agreements
  • Experience working with & developing strong relationships with multiple stakeholders to deliver results
  • Capability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience working in a med-tech/fast-growing environment is a plus
  • Good understanding of financial analysis, strategic analysis, trained negotiation skills and project management
  • Good understanding of procurement / strategic commodity management preferred
  • Ability to use business tools such as Power BI or Microsoft Suite of products
  • English is required and 1 other language (Spanish, French, Dutch, German) is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Support global Indirect procurement initiatives in Europe & EEMEA by Global category managers
  • Run independent and owning Pan-European & EEMEA savings initiatives in Commercial Europe >100K
  • Support and guide local savings initiatives per country and category <100k
  • Develop and drive Sourcing strategies together with stakeholders
  • Follow Stryker policies and driving best practice sharing
  • Drive supplier management / development activity, where we own category management
  • Support ad-hoc projects as required
  • Responsible and owner of Procurement projects, management of Self, delivering to agreed savings targets / implementation objectives and close deals with a signed contract
  • Follow agreed processes and structure in reporting savings and storing contracts
  • Having bi-monthly reviews of indirect savings initiatives with main stakeholders of countries in scope -and functions
  • Support Team activities aimed at continuous improvement and Best in class procurement
  • Drive Competitive bids, tendering, contracting with a goal bring under contract >100k suppliers and support local buyers to contract 10-100k spend suppliers
  • Liaise with Global category leads and be responsible for bringing understanding of additional European requirements and needs into Global tenders
  • Reduce risk and establish security of supply of contracted services and goods
  • Reduce the number of suppliers and simplify landscape with Preferred, contract, local, outsource solutions and spot buying vendors
  • Drive spend to negotiated rate cards and contracted suppliers
