Requirements

  • AAS/AS degree or any combination of education and experience providing equivalent background
  • Ability to work Monday - Friday from 10:00 am - 7:00 pm CST
  • Located in CST states (Illinois and Minnesota specified) within reasonable commuting distance for in-person training
  • Proficiency in all basic inbound call service areas and ability to perform duties of Inbound Call Coord Entry
  • Working knowledge and skills from formal training or considerable work experience
  • Ability to work within established procedures with moderate supervision
  • Ability to identify problems, assess issues using standard procedures, and make sound decisions in straightforward situations
  • Ability to multi-task (handling calls, texts, facsimiles, electronic queues, note-taking, and customer interactions)
  • Proficient in maintaining focus during extended sitting and handling multiple tasks in fast-paced, high-pressure environment
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for virtual and in-person interactions
  • Attentive to details, critical thinker, and problem-solver
  • Demonstrates empathy and persistence to resolve caller issues
  • Comfort and proficiency with digital tools and platforms
  • Structured work schedule with occasional overtime or flexibility, including office work as needed

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to patients, clinicians, physicians, and health plans by answering inbound calls
  • Ensure efficient scheduling of initial or follow-up appointments
  • Triage calls appropriately to different departments
  • Request records for patients
  • Add stakeholders at the APP's request
  • Perform other administrative activities
  • Obtain related documentation (e.g., patient information, insurance coverage)
  • Perform some but not all types of moderately complex functions
  • Handle calls, texts, facsimiles, and electronic queues while taking notes and speaking to customers
  • Perform other duties as assigned
