IAM Software Engineer

Position Overview

Become a part of our caring community and help us put health first. The IAM Software Engineer codes software applications based on business requirements. This role involves varied work assignments that frequently require interpretation and independent determination of appropriate courses of action. The IAM Software Engineer standardizes the quality assurance procedure for software, oversees testing and debugging, and develops fixes. They research complaints and make necessary adjustments and/or recommendations to resolve complex software-related issues. This position requires an understanding of department, segment, and organizational strategy and operating objectives, including their linkages to related areas. Decisions are made regarding own work methods, occasionally in ambiguous situations, requiring minimal direction and receiving guidance where needed. Requirements

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field
• 3-5 years of experience in systems analysis or application programming development
• 3-5 years of experience in IAM technologies (preferably ForgeRock)
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively articulate messages when problem-solving and/or troubleshooting
• Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's Degree

Work-At-Home Requirements:

• Must have the ability to provide a high-speed DSL or cable modem for a home office.
• Associates or contractors who live and work from home in the state of California will be provided payment for their internet expense.
• A minimum standard speed for optimal performance of 25x10 (25mbps download x 10mbps upload) is required.
• Satellite and Wireless Internet service is NOT allowed for this role.
• A dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information.

Responsibilities

• Code software applications based on business requirements.
• Standardize the quality assurance procedure for software.
• Oversee testing and debugging and develop fixes.
• Research complaints and make necessary adjustments and/or recommendations to resolve complex software-related issues.

Travel

While this is a remote position, occasional travel to Humana's offices for training or meetings may be required.
